Pediatric Intensive Care in Denver: High-level Health Care When Your Child Needs it Most
If your child needs more than routine medical care, Swedish's dedicated pediatric team is available to help him get back to good health. As a Level I Trauma Center, Swedish is prepared to care for all types of adult and pediatric injuries. We even have specially equipped pediatric trauma rooms, as well as board-certified pediatric intensivists on staff to treat the most serious injuries and illnesses.
We offer an 11-bed pediatric unit with a team of pediatricians and registered nurses who are all highly experienced in caring for kids of all ages. We also have a six-bed pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) that is designed to give extra attention to the children who need it most.
The above study will use Pulse Ox screenings—testing oxygen levels in the blood—on newborns to support the early detection of congenital heart defects and determine healthy oxygen levels for newborns in higher elevations.
