Experienced Certified Nurse Midwives Providing Care for Women of All Ages in South Metro Denver
Swedish provides nurse-midwifery services for women of all ages. If you think a midwife best suits your health needs and goals, our Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) are available to help you care for yourself through support, education and clinical excellence.
What is a CNM?
Certified nurse midwives must graduate from an accredited education program and pass a rigorous certification exam. CNMs are experts, trained in both nursing and midwifery, that are held to rigorous standards of practice set by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). They attend continuing education programs offered by hospitals, universities and the ACNM.
Midwives at Swedish use a unique blend of traditional medicine and complementary or alternative therapies. The exact blend you receive is completely up to you.
What Can a Midwife Do for Me?
If you are pregnant or hope to become pregnant, our midwives will care for you before, during and after your pregnancy, consulting with an obstetrician when necessary.
