Swedish Medical Center Team is the First in the Nation to Perform New Epilepsy Procedure
October 9, 2017 -Englewood, CO- Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado, part of HealthONE, serves as the Rocky Mountain Region’s referral center for neurotrauma and is now the first hospital in the United States to implant the FDA approved LivaNova Vagus Nerve Stimulation Therapy (“VNS Therapy”) System. The implantable generator and the next-generation VNS Therapy Programming System is used for the treatment of patients with drug-resistant epilepsy. The device is the smallest and lightest responsive therapy for epilepsy and features a wireless wand and new user interface on a small tablet.
