Tidbit about yourself: I grew up in Colorado, and I enjoy spending my free time outdoors with my boyfriend. My other interests include cheering for the Colorado Buffaloes, eating sushi, trying new food trucks, and traveling.

Specialty/Research Interests: I’m from California, and I love the Mountains. I grew up roaming the Coast Ranges and the Sierra Nevada, and spent medical school enjoying the Appalachians. I’m a military reservist, and I plan to spend most of my career providing care to the people who live in America’s rural places. I spend most of my free time enjoying the outdoors with my awesome wife, Sharell, and our adorable dog, Penny.

Tidbit about yourself: I have lived in Texas my entire life and am so excited to start this new journey in Colorado. My favorite things to do in my free time are hiking and trail running with my wonderful partner, Sara, and our cute puppy, play tennis, and attend concerts and musical theater performances. I am most looking forward to learning how to ski and camp in the mountains!

Tidbit about yourself: I was born in Taiwan but raised in Texas. After attending undergrad at the University of Houston I have since lived in Missouri, Florida, and now Colorado. I'm so excited to begin this new adventure in Denver and am looking forward to the beautiful hikes, meeting new people, and of course finally learning how to ski! Outside of medicine I enjoy trying new foods and restaurants, traveling, binging podcast series, hiking, kayaking, music, and spending time with friends and family.

Tidbit about yourself: I am a Colorado native. I love to travel, explore the mountains, scuba dive, cook, and hang out with my fiancé and my dog children. The Galapagos Islands are my happy place, I lived there for three months and have a godson on Isabela Island. My Cuban heritage is a large part of who I am (coffee, food, and family are important to me) and I enjoy using my Spanish skills with patients.

Rachel “Rae” Carroll, MD

Tidbit about yourself: I was born and raised on the east coast and spent most of my early years either wandering the woods or walking the beaches in the winter—but I came to Colorado seventeen years ago and consider it my home now, full of such beauty and the most wonderful people I've ever met. I did all of my schooling here in Colorado and I'm excited to be able to continue serving my community for the foreseeable future! I have particular interest in addiction medicine and LGBTQ health and access equality, and I have done and continue to do academic work in the area of literature and narrative as a form of advocacy. I write near-constantly, and also enjoy illustration, painting, gardening, and photography, as much of it in the gorgeous outdoor wilds of Colorado as possible.

In my free time, I love anything outdoors including hiking nearby trails, visiting state parks, rock climbing, and camping. I also enjoy traveling around the US and abroad, watching documentary films, and spending time with family and friends.
