Swedish Medical Center is proud to be part of HealthONE, the first hospital system in Colorado to publicly post average ER wait times, including separate pediatric ER wait times for our youngest patients. This transparency is part of our commitment to better serve our communities' healthcare needs and help patients find the quickest access to the high-quality emergency medical care across the Denver metropolitan area.
The ER wait time represents the time it takes to see a qualified medical professional, defined as a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). ER wait times are approximate and provided for informational purposes only.
ER wait times represent a four-hour rolling average updated every 30 minutes and is defined as the time of patient arrival until the time the patient is greeted by a qualified medical professional. Patients are triaged at arrival and are then seen by a qualified medical professional in priority order based on their presenting complaint and reason for visit.
If you have an illness or injury that you believe is life threatening, or that will seriously harm you within 12 to 24 hours without a doctor's care, you should call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Swedish Hospital Center is extremely pleased to offer some of the lowest hospital and ER wait times in the Denver area.
