Facility features and amenities
Swedish Southwest ER is an award-winning, full-service 24-hour emergency department. At the facility, we have 18 private patient rooms, featuring five rooms equipped for 24-hour, round-the-clock observation stays. The Southwest ER offers patients access to a full range of services on-site, including diagnostic imaging, radiology and health analysis through the full service lab, as well as Swedish-satellite administrative offices. A CT scanner, X-ray suite and ultrasound suite are available at Southwest. All of the medical images and scans taken can be digitally transferred to the main Swedish hospital campus and to your physician's office for shared viewing via the Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS).
Swedish Southwest ER is staffed by board-certified adult and pediatric medicine physicians, experienced nurses, radiology and laboratory technicians as well as on-call specialty physicians available for various health consultations.
A Rocky Mountain Hospital affiliate
When your child needs medical attention after hours, we are here to help, and we are located right here in your neighborhood! We are a part of the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children System of Pediatric Care. At Swedish, children are treated by experienced board-certified emergency physicians as well as nurses specially trained in pediatric care.
Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at Southwest ER is an "ouchless ER." Our pediatric specialists pride themselves on delivering compassionate care for every child that comes to our facility while coordinating and concentrating on creating a comfortable environment for kids and their parents to reduce pain and relieve anxiety as much as possible. Our pediatric doctors and nurses are capable of performing pain-free IV starts, and when necessary, are highly qualified and experienced with tools for sedation to provide relaxation and comfort for patients.
If your child requires further care, he/she will be transferred to Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, giving your child access to the widest spectrum of pediatric specialty care in Denver.
