Conceiving a baby can sometimes be a struggle, but Swedish Medical Center is committed to helping you build your family.

Swedish has several reproductive endocrinologists on staff who diagnose factors involved in a patient’s infertility and offer a wide variety of infertility treatments. These reproductive medicine specialists provide advanced care for patients experiencing conception challenges and, using advanced treatment options, can give new hope for patients.

Fertility treatments offered at Swedish include:

  • Ovulation induction: Fertility medications are used to increase egg production to increase the chances of insemination
  • In vitro fertilization (IVF): A woman’s ovaries are stimulated to produce multiple eggs, which are retrieved and inseminated in a lab; the fertilized eggs are then transferred into the uturus
  • Embryo cryopreservation: A woman takes hormones to increase her egg production, then those eggs are extracted and frozen until a later date when she is ready to have them implanted via IVF
  • Intracytoplasmic sperm injections (ICSI): A technology used to treat sperm-related infertility where a single sperm is injected into an egg during IVF

When to seek help for fertility problems

If you and your partner have been trying to conceive for at least one year without success, you may want to consider talking to one of our reproductive endocrinologists. In some cases, you may just need a little more time and in other cases, you may need medical assistance to understand why you are experiencing conception delays.
